    Bloem Water is a schedule 3B Public Business Enterprises (PFMA, Act 1 of 1999) which has been established in terms of the Water Services Act (Act of 108 of 1997) Bloem Water accordingly invites interested and experienced service providers/organisations to submit proposals in relation to partnering with Bloem Water in Socio-Economic Development. This initiative will be targeted at assisting local needy and rural schools. Initiatives include, but not limited to: Scope of Services: Deep–toilet cleaning Water related schools projects Minor renovation of schools Public schools sanitation Supply and delivery of Health and Hygiene material Supply and delivery of sanitary towels All interested parties are requested to submit comprehensive proposals with a funding structure and implementation plan.     REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP):  MANGAUNG WATER AUGMENTATION

    PROJECT – XHARIEP PIPELINE:  FEASIBILITY STUDY

    Bloem Water is a schedule 3B Public Business Enterprises (PFMA, Act 1 of 1999), which has been established in terms of the Water Services Act (Act 108 of 1997). Bloem Water is a Water Board, with the mandate to provide water services to the Southern and Central areas of the Free State Province. The Greater Bloemfontein Water Supply System (GBWSS) supplies water to the larger centres of Bloemfontein, Thaba Nchu and Botshabelo, as well as to the smaller towns of Wepener, Dewetsdorp, Reddersburg, Edenburg and Excelsior. The water shortage which is being experienced in the Greater Bloemfontein area has prompted consideration of bringing forward the implementation of what had previously been considered to be medium to long term bulk water supply augmentation interventions. Professional Service Providers are invited to submit proposals to conduct a feasibility study to determine the potential to pump water via a pipeline from the Xhariep Dam, integrated into the existing Bloemfontein Water Supply System. Scope of Services This appointment requires the provision of Professional Services to conduct the following: An Inception Phase including review of existing information, a site visit, and submission of an Inception Report; Phase 1: Pre-feasibility Study to select options from work completed to date for detailed Feasibility Study, and submission of Pre-feasibility Report, and supporting sub-reports; Phase 2: Detailed Feasibility Study and Preliminary Design of the selected option, and submission of a Feasibility Study Report with supporting sub-report; A parallel Environmental Impact Assessment from commencement of the study to completion and submission of associated reports, aimed at obtaining Environmental Authorisation; Preparation and submission of relevant License Applications; Firms who meet the specified pre-qualification will be further evaluated in line with the 80/20 method as per the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2017 (PPR 2017). It is estimated that tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 3ME or higher. Bloem Water accordingly invites suitably qualified and experienced service providers to submit proposals to Bloem Water for the following: Scope of Works This appointment requires the provision of Services to conduct the following: Design and submit for approval the conceptual design, specification, detailed design and drawings for the proposed free standing gantry structure with rails, Cut the existing surface bed in the workshop for the installation of re-enforced concrete columns bases as per the approved designs and specifications Install the re-enforced concrete column bases to support the proposed structure (all tests results to be submitted) Manufacture according the approved drawings and specifications the free standing structure Erect the steel structure Complete installation of the overhead crane (the hoist to be supplied by client) Supply and install power supply to the overhead crane.
