The Office of the Chief Executive has entrenched various employee volunteering initiatives whereby employees are encouraged to offer their time, knowledge and skills to those less fortunate. This supported various programmes within the period under review which has led to interactive community investment, water education and water awareness.
These projects aim to support causes such as abused children, HIV/AIDS charities, the elderly and the vulnerable. The Office of the Chief Executive therefore encourages employees to become involved in charitable activities by providing their time, energy, talent and leadership skills to the benefit of the community we serve. Bloem Water's volunteering initiatives aim to support and showcase the efforts of employees, thereby instilling a culture of employee involvement, compassion and caring from an internal perspective.
The Office of the Chief Executive aims to proactively promote public interest by encouraging and actively participating in community growth and sustainable development. Sustainability and the triple bottom line embrace economic, environmental and social aspects of Bloem Water's activities, thereby strengthening the link between Corporate Governance and corporate citizenship as to external relationships of the Organisation and its overall impact on society as exemplified by the School Toilet Revolution Programme.
As an Organisation, Bloem Water recognizes its impact on the community it serves.
